Prof Jibril Attahiru Alhassan

Prof Jibril Attahiru Alhassan is a graduate of the Department of Library and Information Science, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1993. He obtained his M.Sc. in Library and Information Science from Delta State University, Abraka in 2003 and PhD in Library and Information Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2011.

He joined the Department of Library and Information Technology, Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2004 and rose to the rank of a Professor in 2019. He was appointed Polytechnic Librarian of The Federal Polytechnic, Bida in July 2012 and University Librarian, the Federal University of Technology, Minna in August 2014. Prof Alhassan assumed duty as the University Librarian of the Federal University of Kashere on 1st December 2020.

He is widely travelled and widely published in both local and International Journals with research interests in Information Users’ Studies and Electronic Library services. He is currently the Chairman of the Association of University Librarians of Nigerian Universities. Prof. Alhassan is happily married with children.
